K. Renee Collingwood:  

I am currently an Investment Executive doing personal financial planning in Altus, a small town in Southwest Oklahoma where my huband grew up. After SHS I went to Cornell Univeristy in New York and spend 4 years studying Japanese, international relations and all about Japan. I lived in Japan for about 8 months near Kyoto and Osaka. I also met my husband at Cornell. He is an EE geek from Oklahoma named Ben Lee who taught me how to dance the Jitterbug. I finally started to grow my hair out and stopped with the black lipstick by my senior year at Cornell. But ROTC gave me free combat boots so who could complain. After Cornell I had my first son and I was commissioned in the Army as a Lieutenant. I was stationed with the 10th Mountain Division in New York, I spent some time in Haiti managing a repair parts distribution warehouse. I had my second son when I got back from Haiti and not long after that I was stationed in Virginia where I commanded the Army's only active mortuary affairs unit. My husband took a job with an internet start up in California so for the next 3 years we did a cross-country commute once a month to see each other.
